I noticed that the vacuum port where the distributor hose goes to on the carb only has about 5" of vacuum @ idle, and another port of the carb lets say in the rear of carb reads 19" of vacuum,is it normal for the front port where the distributor hooks up to to read that little? Thanks
The front port is ported vacuum, and the rear is manifold vacuum. Ported will increase as the engine speed goes up, it is taken from the venturi area above the throttle blades.
