I bought a fiberglass hood from Fernando Alvare in Florida months before BG and had a member lined up to pick it up at the Nats. Unfortunately he had some things come up just prior to the Nationals and had to bow out at the last moment . At the same time Irma was bearing down on Fernandos homestead and he had to arrange transportation for the hood to BG so he could stay home and batten down the hatches. Mike Nussel provided that transportation, thanks Mike. I started a " hail Mary" thread and quickly got a PM response from Fred, pointing me in Carl's direction. After numerous texts between all the parties involved and a 7 hr round trip to Connecticut to meet Carl and procure said hood , all is well. I coulda BSed all day with Carl, who btw is a wealth of Buick information and a great guy , but I had to get back on the road to southern NH. So thanks to all involved , greatly appreciated! Sounds like a bunch of great guy's !!!! Love hearing stories where Buick men stick together and help each other out. That is the way it used to be and hopefully we can all do our part to help each other and keep our cars going strong
