We had to run a vin on a truck we're looking at today, came up squeeky clean :grin: So we have a month of unlimited searches left on the account. It would be great if carfax could track older vin's. It would be wild to go through the history on a 38 year old car. Unfortunately, it would probably like tracking down someone's family tree. o No:

We repaired a 2001 Civic, 2 claims over 7 grand, one was about 2 grand, guy wanted to trade it in 3 months ago and the salesman working with him knew we had it in the bodyshop 2 times (it was 3 tho) so he thought it would show on Carfax and we'd be stuck with it so he ran it and it came back clear!!...., nothing being done to it at all, guy has Nationwide insurance, I don't know why it came back clean but I know for a fact that it shouldn't have.
