Carburetor Help needed in North East Ohio I rebuilt a Quadrajet Carburetor with Gary Paine in the fall. It ran fine on his car when we test drove it. I cleaned it up a little after the rebuild and must have messed something up. I put it on my car last night. It runs bad, real bad. It idles rough and if you floor it from idle, it coughs and backfires thru the carb. and stalls. If you floor it from a rolling start, it bogs horribly and then takes off. I need your help. I will bring Beer money and cheap, fast women (if I can find them) If you can get me straightened out. Im not too smart about carbs. so Im not sure where to start. I did check for leaks by spraying break cleaner around the base to see if it would cut out. The spay had no effect. PM me if you are interested in helping
