    :(
OK, Thats it!!!! I thought I impressed myself by rebuilding my Rochester 7029240 4bbl.
I had a sense of accomplishment and confidence. I removed all pieces of my carb and soaked it in carb cleaner and assembled with new rebuilt kit. ALL EXCITED, I REINSTALLED THE CARB ANTICIPATING MY ENGINE PURRING (or ROARING) LIKE A CAT.

I turned the key to let the electric fuel pump build pressure and then started the engine. WWWOOOOOWWWW, just like old faithful, gas was spewing out of the carb!!!

What did I do wrong???:Do No:

It is flooding. The first place to look is the needle/seat, and float level. Are they set correctly? A bad float will hold the needle off it's seat and flood the carb.

I had that happen to my LeSabre when I rebuilt the carb. It was the float. I had forgotten to set it properly:Dou: :Dou: :Dou:

That reminds me...I need to rebuild the qjet in my convertible:gt:

Your floats could be upside down?
