Sometimes when I stop a little fast, or make a left turn without giving any gas, my car will cut-off. I'm thinking it's possibly an issue with the carb, but I don't know.

I'll be the first to tell you that I don't know much about these things (yet), so I may be totally off.

    Vehicle Info:
    1962 Skylark
    215 V8
    rochester 4 barrel carb

Any insight would be much appreciated!

    Thanks

The first thing I would check is the float level in the carb. Get a motors manual or a factory manual and lookup the specs for the float level and where on the float to measure it. I'm betting the level is set to low. Since you have to take the carb appart to check this, I would also recomend replacing the float if it's not a brass one as the plastic ones deteriorate with age, and also replace the needle and seat. Good luck, Brian
