Got the car cranked for the first time after having some spark issues. Thing is it will only run for about 5 seconds and only after I pour gas directly in the carb.

I've changed the fuel filter and fuel pump.

I dont have my choke hooked up to the exhaust cause the line to the manifold broke..

Any ideas onto whats going on with the carb? its the stock afb.

Obviously the engine is not getting fuel. Likely causes could be needle and seats stuck closed, defective new fuel pump, plugged up "sock" filter in the tank, or a pinhole or crack in the fuel line from the tank to the pump. I would disconnect the fuel line at the carburetor and see if when you crank the engine, you are getting fuel to the carburetor. Be careful when doing this. If you are getting fuel to the carb. it will spray everywhere unless you have put a flexible hose from the line to a container. If you are not getting fuel, troubleshoot the fuel system. If you are getting fuel, ot's time for a carburetor overhaul. (Easy on an AFB).
