Old problem, new twist. It isnt the starter, solenoid, or the ignition switch. What I have discovered is that when I move the auto trans shift lever around, it will then start. My guess is a sticky sensor. Can anyone give me a clue before I start disassembling everything. I am going to remove the dash to paint it anyways, but one less headache would be nice. :Dou:

    Right on Annie.
Check at the top of the bottom of the steering column for an elecrical connector, it is supposed to be fixed in place. Sometimes it moves around and gets out of sequence with the gear selector. I believe the wire you're looking for is the purple one...make adjustments as needed.
