    hello people

I need some assistance in helping find a car carrier to take my 2 cars a 2004 Mazda Tribute and a 99 Dodge Dakota 4X4 from Edison, NJ to Bakersfield, Ca. I don't need any fancy enclosed carrier service like Horseless Carriage just a dependable service, I currently have a reservation with Autolog (www.autolog.net) out of Linden, NJ that was recommended from my moving company I'm using but my wife heard lotsa "shady" things with them.............please help me ASAP my first car (Mazda Tribute) leaves on Monday 8/30. I'd like to cancel Autolog and move on ASAP thanks!!!:)

I used Cross Country Auto Transport out of NJ. I had also heard/read some bad things and had a good long talk with the agent and voiced my concerns before I signed on with them. All turned out well and they were very timely and professional, this was a short haul NY to OH. I couldn't find a single company that didn't have at least 1 horror story, just check them out good, I'm sure you'll get other recommendations too HTH a little

Do you have a phone number? I ran a search and all I came up with were the usual broker services, thanks for the input

I don't have it handy at the moment and I'm heading out to work. They broker their hauls, not sure if you want that, so you probably hit on them in your search, I can get it for you tomorrow if you like.

  6. why don't you just get a car dolly and tow the mazda behind the truck.
pensky or uhaul should rent a dolly out.
probably 4 day trip or 3 if you fast and thousands less in cost

Cross Country 1-888-546-6683 Jason was the person I dealt with. They are a broker service though :(

Thanks for the help Andy! The reason I won't do the haul myself is because I have a 9 month old girl and she can barely last a 5 hr trip let alone cross country................also my wife's new job is covering almost all of our moving fees including having the cars shipped and plane tickets for me, my wife and my daughter!!!

99.9% of the companies out there are brokers. We used Aries because they didn't have the "we ain't responsible for nuthin" clause in their contract.
