Anyone have any knowledge of this car? 70 GS My Father in law is interested in it and looking at the pics from the auction and the ones the owner sent the car looks great. Thanks :TU:
The seller is John Chamberlain, that's all I know. I expect it will have a fairly high reserve. The car looks to be in excellent shape.
John is a good guy,I wouldn't hesitate to buy a car from John's description of it (heck... I already did..:gt: ) When I save up enough cash for the next GS, He is going to be the first call I make:TU: . Good luck if you decide to go for it. I only wish I had the cash. :ball:
I think that was a different car, and it did sell. Rick, did you buy it for Mel? I remember asking John about this car in a post when he was selling the green one he had bought on this board a few months ago, and I thought he had said something about it being around $10k, and at that time he wasn't sure when he would be selling, but I can't remember for sure, and the post appears to have been deleted Chris

yup I did.. And then didn't.. Once the car arrived in person, It wasn't what I was looking for . Very-Very Solid southern car---Good Detail Items and paint --Not so good We reached a mutual agreement and parted ways no hard feelings... Although now it has good bumpers, tail lights ,right year and good shape. He also had paint wet sanded and repaired .Looks a lot better now. More towords the quality of the price he was asking. It will make someone a nice car.
Thanks for all the input guys. We did end up treking down from Chicago to Nashville and my Father-in-law bought the GS (his 1st performance Buick BTW). Price was good, body was solid, just what he was looking for. I'd like to give John a :TU: . The car was exactly as described. He even sent pics showing the cars flaws. Looking back now my F-I-L could have bought the car sight unseen with the pics and detailed description he got from John. :grin: To bad all sellers can't be this honest and easy to work with.
