    Hey!

Actually, if I still had all my old 455 stuff in the garage, this LS motor would have never happened.

    Poppaluv I CALL WINNERS!!!

455: (as spoken by angry old man-Dana Carvey) " Back in my day we didn't need fancy smancy CNC machines. IF we had core shift we STILL pulled nearly 5,000 lbs AND WE LOVED IT!!!!!! We were heavy AND WE LOVED IT!!!!!! WE had 2 bolt mains AND WE LOVED IT!!!!! We were carbed, not computer "controlled" fuel thingies, and if you couldn't turn an idle screw you just died. AND WE LOVED IT.

Apparently alot of guys here don't realize it takes very little to make a very fast LS1...and alot cheaper...

I'm very fond of the Suncoupes. Just sayin'....:)

Fast and cheap and without pedigree or soul. It's simply the belly-button of a new millennium. I'm already tired of seeing them in everything. Ohhhh a LS in a name a car....

Actually, I may rip on the Chevs and LSs a little, but can respect them all. I like Pontiacs, Cadillacs, Oldsmobiles, Chevrolets, Fords, Mopars - anything that can bring some performance. I've owned an LT1 and now an LQ9 - they can hold their own even in stock form. But, Buick just happens to mean a little something more to me.

Eventually (sooner than you may think) there will be fewer and fewer 455's around and we may have to adapt to some other motor. If the choice is park it because there aren't many parts left or cost effectiveness VS swap to a newer style motor, guess what path I'll be headed down? I will have no ill thought to swap any of my cars to a newer type of GM motor..

Good, in 20 years I'll still have the same block type the car was born with. Maybe it'll be such a rarity, it will be the coolest thing at the show!!!:beer :TU:
