Can you ID this 12 bolt from a '71 Skylark?

    Thanks for the suggestions. The brake hardware and lines appear to be junk on the 12 bolt, and it sounds like the hardware off the 8.2 would be a direct swap.
    I'm going to pull the axles this weekend to check their condition. If all looks good I'm going to try running it with the 3.31s. If that isn't enough I will be in touch Jim.

    measuring for driveshaft length

    If you end up needing to measure for driveshaft length make sure the rear suspension is loaded. In other words put jack stands under the rear end, and let the weight of the car down on the rear end. If you let it hang from the suspension you will not get the correct measurement.
