Can someone tell me if these wheels will fit a '70-'72 A-Body?

There is a set of wheels that got my attention and I was wondering if the offset and the backspacing will be sufficent enough in order for the wheels to not rub. The front wheels are 15x7" with 3 5/8" backspacing and the total width from outside edge to outside edge is 7 7/8". The rear wheels are 15x8.5" with 3 7/8" backspacing and the total width from outside edge to outside edge is 9 3/8". Would these wheels fit properly without rubbing?

    Thanks,
    Rob

the fronts should fit fine with up to a 235/245.

the backs, yes, but you won't get any big meats in there. i have 15x8's with 4 1/8 and i'd probably hit the outer lip with a 295. i think i could get away with a 275, though. yours are a bit wider and have a 1/2" less BS, so i'd guess you might squeeze a 255 or 245 in there?

should have a nice stance, though. i like the way my wheels look as opposed to stock becuase of where they sit in the well.

    Rob,
There is a little more to it than just wheel size, your "outside "measurements are confusing you.
If they are 8 1/2" wheels where the tire mounts, not the outside rim measurement 9 3/8". Then that's what they are ,8 1/2 inch.Sure they will fit,but if you put tires on them they wont be 8 1/2 " anymore, they will be a lot wider with the tires mounted, sidewall dimensions make it a lot wider, also tire diamater [height] come in to play as far as clearence is concerned. I'm not to sure about the specs of the front rims, but I've found out the hard way, wrong wheels, offsets etc. about the rears.Do your research first and learn all about it,we've been through it a lot on this board, search the wheel and tire forums and find out what you need to know BEFORE you buy anything. Good Luck:TU:
