Can someone recommend me a spark plug for a '63 401?

    Which Motorcraft plugs can be ran in a 425?

    They have been cut from the line. The replacement is R43S, if I recall right.

    I just replaced the R43S that were in the engine with the R44S that I bought off of Ebay. All I can say is what a difference it made. The engine is smooth and the throttle response is almost instant with no hint of hesitation like before. I also looked at the R43S that came out and all except 3 were carbon fouled. I won't run that cold of a heat range plug ever again and I strongly advise that others do the same. These engines need something a little hotter to get the most out of them and the R43S just don't do it.
