I need the exact size for intake and exhaust. Specifically the overall length from end of the stem to the face of the valve.

Anyone have a pic of the intake valve. I have 2 sets. One set has a slightly different stem end where the keepers go. The other set looks like what I would expect.

Yes, I got the damn things on Ebay, but they were supposed to be exhaust valves and they are 2.125 in. in diameter.

Heres the auction link....no laughing OK

The top of the stem looks like the photo on Ebay, but the overall length is more like 4.75 to 4.8125. Again the dia is 2.125 but shorter than my Stage1 intake valve.

    Thanks,

    Ed

    CIT Poweraddict, help me

The part# says Olds exhaust (should be 1.6220 dia.)
They have a 11/32 stem if they are for olds
Lenght suggests they are Olds intake valves :blast:

    Buick should have 3/8 stem
    Intake 2.125 or 2.000
    Exhaust 1.750 or 1.625
    Overall lenght approx. 5.150

:puzzled: if they don't know what they are for and parts are in the wrong boxes then why bother :blast:

The V-1922 Intake valve should measure 5.137" and the V-1977 exh valve should measure 5.168". Stems should be .3725" HTH.

    Your Right

    Andy;

Your right...thanks! I wondered about the locks the most. As soon as I took them out of the box I knew. I need some Stage1 exhaust valves.

P.S. I see you too have taken advantage of moms hospitality. I have an NOS 455 short block in my mom's upstairs...She's cool about it though.

    Thanks,

    Ed
