Would I be able to use this until I get a new switch and how would I bypass the turn signal relay?

  2. If your 65 uses the same setup as a 64, you can use that switch. At the base of the steering column will be two "blocks" with connectors going in them. These are the neutral safety switch and the turn signal switch. If your turn signal switch is intergal to the column, I have no idea how to do it.

Anyway, you can pull the connectors off the turn signal switch at the base of the column, and put mating connectors onto the wires of the aftermarket switch. After you trace where each wire goes, join them together, and wa-la, turn signals.

    Here is a wiring shematic from a '64: http://www.1964buick.com/schematics/schematics.htm

    Thanks,

    Joe,
They look the same at a glance? :Do No: I can believe how hard it is to find a switch :Brow: :ball: . I hate to use that switch but Until I find one I guess it is the best thing to do? :Do No:
    Thanks again,
    Don

  4. I just looked at your other post, and they look different.

On my 64, the turn signal switch electrical guts are outside of the column. It appears that your turn signal guts are inside the column. Is that the case?
