Can I use these gears and posi unit?

    A friend of mine offered me a set of gears and posi from a 1969 Camaro. They should be a 8.2. Will they work in a Skylark rearend? I have a 1970 housing. Thanks

    Sorry, the Chevy 8.2 pieces will not work in a '68-70 BUICK 8.2 housing. The Chevy 8.2 pieces will work in Chevelle 8.2 (c-clip) 10 bolt rearend... if ones in a pinch. Keep in mind 8.2 Chevy rears were designed to go behind Chevys lower performance models. Lack of pinion support & c-clip axles are the 8.2 Chevys weak points.

    i got a 1964 buick skylark and i just blew the stock rear end i would like 2 upgrade a bit in a cheap fashion what could i throw in it any suggestions??
