    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has ever flushed there steering gear box without completely rebuilding it? I have mine off now (it works just fine) and just wanted to get some new grease in there? The few steering manufacturers I contacted about this told me that they couldn't tell me because of liability reasons.. .. ( ? ) Anyway, hopefully you guys can be of assistance.

You can 'flush' it by just opening up an outlet and filling it with new grease until the new grease starts coming out. I would recommend locating some new seals if possible and then you can flush it with mineral spirits, kerosene, parts washer solvent etc...
These will likely turn your seals hard which is why you would replace the seals after flushing.
