He guys, before i ask my question, i just gotta say. This site is becomming a habbit, kinda an addiction, but a good one.... anyone else feel like this? Ok, I've seen wheelstand pics of skylarks, GS , Nationals. etc. But i don't know that i've seen a Larger Riveara with the front end up..... I gotta believe its possible isn't it? If anyone can show me proof, i'd be a wiser man... If that is possible, Who could ever doubt Buicks Torqe..... For Real those cars are huge.......... Dave Carter
Working eh? p   I'm home it's raining so yard work is a no go, wife is out with the kids Racecar and tow car tucked away. Just hanging around in an empty and quiet house and doing newsletter stuff while watch TV and surfing the net.
On the back of Kenne Bell's old catalog was a pic of Fred Catlin's Riv with the wheels up. He raced that thing for a number of years.
Not a Buick, but remember, older Cadillac 472 and 500 engines had lots of torque too. This red Coupe DeVille runs in the 10's and weighs 4500lbs. www.cad500parts.com
there was a picture in a Riview not to long ago of a 12 second 71 Riv that could lift a tire off the ground.
Nick Scavo (sp?) used to run a black on black 1965 impala in one of the real street racing classes (I think that was the class). That car routinly dragged the front bumper and was all steel. I know it isn't a buick but a 1965 impala is a heavy car and if someone can get it to stand on it's bumper, it is totall possible to get a century or a riveria to do the same.
