Camshaft selection

    Scott, I'm leaning toward running the .040 gasket but have concerns about having too much cylinder pressure.
    I've ordered the TA 290-08HL. Just not sure if there's enough duration (238/248) to bleed off some of that cylinder pressure.
    Was hoping Mr. Weise or Dave from TA would jump in here and give me there thoughts
    I've bin trying to get home early enough to call Dave, but it's really busy at work.
    I also want to thank everyone who jumped in here to give there input:TU: It's just amazing how much info this site has for the Buick guy.

    Two things you will have to decide on:
    1. Is mixing with pump gas acceptable to you? (last time we talked it was)

    2. The type of driveability you want? (last time we talked you did not want a huge cam, something that was suited for good driveability, street/strip use, power brakes, moderate converter and gears, etc.)

    If you go with a cam that has enough duration and overlap to reduce cylinder pressure then the vehicle will be very limited on driveability.
