I have good running 74 smoged 455 that I would like to hop up with headers, b4b and I could use some cam suggestions . Car would be street driven with 8 to 1 comp.I was going to use c118 but I would need 10 to 1? Anyone have a similiar set up? I just want to slip in a new cam and not deal with extra springs retainers .etc...

Most any cam upgrade will at the least rquire new springs. Your old original 74 springs if you are lucky probably have about 70 pounds of pressure on the seat. Stage 1 springs would be an excellent upgrade and will work with the stock retainers and keepers.
The 113 cam is the one designed for the low compression pistons. Jim Burek
