    Please Help!

I need to get a new cam for my 430. The old one is missing a few lobes (like all of 7 & 8). Here is the question, the old cam was a Strait line Performance 226/238 hydraulic. It worked ok but the power band is from 3200 to 6000 RPM, and I would like to move that down a tad, otherwise I would just get the same one again. Other considerations are that the Carb was rebuilt by JO w/SL cam in motor and the Ignition was rebuilt and curved to this cam. The last problem is the SL cam doesn't seem to work well with my 4-speed (man I need an overdrive). So pleas help and give me any hints or suggestions (Postins?, TA?).

I run the TA290-94 and love it, nice light lope idles at 700rpm with 14-15" of vacuum, more of a 1500-5200rpm cam, great for a street cruiser.
Ofcourse I'm running an auto overdrive so I have no idea how it would work with a 4sp.
