cam pick

    hello, I have a 1949 ford coupe with 455+.060 stroked.030 zerodecked with mild ported 69 430 heads with stage 1 conversion offy2x4 intake 4spd 3.73 gears ta 2" headers full exhaust street rod cam I had in it went flat n one lobe was a poston 112 any suggestions for a new one? car is not raced but need a good sound. last time it took 2 sets of lifters to get one good set so I'm thinking a solid cam this time. thanks for input

    Check out the TA 413. healthy lopey idle, good power from 2500-5500 rpm. Have it in my 455, sounds really mean.

    Not saying that these would be an identical match, or even what would work the best for you, but TA's 210 Solid (248/254) is at least a little closer to what you had. You did say you wanted a solid, right? Give em a call! They have LOTS of different grinds, one that'll work for you!

    TA cams, and this is only a partial listing. The one's they recommend the most!
