I have a 413 TA cam with approx. 1500 miles on it. It looks good with no scratches or grooves. All lobes are straight. My only question is concerning 3 lobes. The tops of them on one side have very minor pits. Looks like casting flaws. Is this a problem? I am going to use this cam again and wondered if I need to rethink it.
I've seen lots of cams with that, and have heard opinions on both ends of the spectrum. I've also seen photos of engines that people are using (and not planning on changing cams in) with that. I'd go ahead and use it.
