Gonna be running the TA413 cam in my motor. Just bought some NOS cast aluminum rockers that I plan on running. I believe these rockers are 1.6 ratio? Anything I should know before I run this combination?
I run the cast alloy rockers since they are original to my motor , and the only thing that has to be watched is the oiling system is completly different then the stamped steel rockers. they are oiled through the shafts, not the pushrods, making the lifters, and pushrods different. YOu must have the cooresponding heads with the oil holes, or your top end will get no oil at all, which isn't really good for business. I've had no problems with them. I'm familiar with those rocker arms... I got a set off my 430 motor, and yes they are oiled through the shafts. But on my 72 motor they came with cast alloy rocker arms that are oiled through the pushrods which are just like the ones I bought... I'm sure they will work, just wanna make sure. Here is a picture, but you can barely see the hole where the pushrod boss is. ANDY
those are 70-72 aluminum style rocker. they are the good 1.59 to 1 ratio, but are the weakest of the stock rockers, but you should be ok with the 413 cam.
you might be in trouble if your open spring presure is more then 300 and your lift is more then .500 and the 413 is .516 with those rockers. so if you are going to run dual springs with that cam you could break them. thats what Dave it TA told me. i dont know of enen one running those on a cam like that
