    Hey Guys,

Of those of you that have EFI running on your big block buick, what kind of injector angle is on the manifold that has been converted? Are the injectors pointing straight down, as in perpendicular with the carb pad? Or are they laid back a little with the tops of the injectors pointing toward the centerline of the manifold a little so that they spray more directly at the intake valve?

I'm going to be modifying my SPX manifold for EFI and I'm wondering what type of angle the injector should be at in relation to the cast bosses in this manifold.

    Thanks!

Mine are pointed straight down. I've heard that pointing them at the back of the intake valve is the way to go, but most manifold designs don't allow for it.

I think the general concensus is to aim toward the valve as much as the package will allow.

most manufacturers are aiming right for the back of the intake valve currently. I've looked at angleing them for my application, but with a one piece fuel rail (one bar connecting each bank of injectors) I'm running into a clearance problem with my throttle body using it at a carburator height. (i'm using a gutted Q jet for my throttle body.) i'm also modifying a Offy intake so i'm not sure if a stock dual plane would have an issue.
