Hey folks, I am thinking about running a batch of 4-6 71-72 skylark bumpers up to desert dogs for rechrome. I would be willing to take others there for you but you would have to get them to me in the central Indiana area. I would do this for a small fee of $10.00 per bumper. (of course you would have to pay the rechrome) I talked with them today and they told me that if I placed and paid for the order ahead of time they could have them all ready in 3-5 weeks. Would have been interested about a month ago. Since then my good friend George N. has found one for me & shipped it to Desert Dog. Heard some very good comments here on their work. Should have it in my hands late October, early November.

Desert Dog told me $250.00 per bumper and the people on this board have raved non stop about how good they are. They were very friendly on the phone TOO!!!! Dave

With shipping back and forth from Seattle it will probably run me over $350 per so I called some local plating shops and was told they won't do any straightening. The plating alone will be ~ $1500 each. The shipping doesn't seem so high now. I'll have to keep them in mind.

i wrote you back but let me throw this out for everyone. they might not have an exchange for my front bumper so they may have to replate mine. i have 2 front bumpers but one is wrecked. Bob at DesertAuto said i could send in my wrecked front bumper If you were getting your front bumper done, would you send in your good one or your wrecked one. o No: Here is a picture of my wrecked one thanks randy ps. they didnt want to buy any cores
