SO we're driving through our neighborhood:3gears: and something catches Beth's eye......... :eek2:.....and drags it 50 feetou: An eighteesomething camino with Buick badge's uzzled: The more I looked , the more I liked, even though its a little rusty here and there..........even has a pair of Buick rallies on the rear :TU: here's the pix from my spyphone...........\ D.
Here's a similar El Camino Stage1 http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=32505&highlight=455+el+camino
I like it !!!!!! I wouldnt mind having one of them for a driver. Maybe toss a 350'' in it and have a nice run around vehicle. Shoot I think its even big enough to use on the route, lol. A couple more rallies for the front and a turbo bulge hood and you'de be ready to go.
After further investigation I found that the engine in mine is not a Stage1. But instead your basic run of the mill "SF" code engine from a '70 Riviera. It still has the center-sump oil pan. I am still driving it 40 mile round trip to work monday-friday, and managing 12-15mpg. It's an absolute blast to drive! Everything I own is Buick powered. Actually, everything in this household is Buick powered. My dad drive's a '00 Monte Carlo SS Pace Car. There is nothing better than Buick Power. Charles Just noticed the link in my old post has non-working pics. You can check the most current pictures of my car/truck here: Click Here.
