What are your opinions on the Bulldogs VS TA Stage 1 SE and TA Stage 2 SE heads? I've seen some flow numbers on Stage 1 SE and Bulldogs but what about Stage 2 SE?

    Thanks!

The intake ports on the stage2 SE will be about the same as the stage 1SE... I believe they are the same port. Could someone confirm that? The stage 2 heads will have much better exhaust port flow, of course.

Tom, this is not directed at you, but to all who are considering the newer aftermarket Stage-1 style heads...

Just thinking out loud, so don't bash me. Well, OK bash me if you want to, but be nice... :spank:

This is the Race Forum right? I always wonder why people just don't go with the raised port Stage-2 TE's. If everyone is so concern about flow, I would think in the long run it's the smarter move. Sure, you need a new intake and headers, but some guys will need to buy those too, even if they currently have Stage-1 stuff. Some of those old 1 7/8" Stage-1 headers are just to small for the flow that the new Stage-1 heads are capable of flowing. So that leaves the intake. I wouldn't let the cost of an intake control the head selection of my engine, unless I had a tremendous amount of money already invested in porting and flowing of the intake itself.

If you're for looking stock appearing heads, then the Bulldogs won't do. So if stock appearing is not an issue, they why not consider the Stage-2 TE's. Is it a rules/class issue, chassis clearance issue, itch to scratch issue? If it's an itch to scratch issue, that's fine too, as some people just don't like the looks of the Stage-2 head/headers combo in their engine bay.

    Just wondering.
