I know that sometimes they may be depressing, but i have to admit sometimes the pictures can look awesome. I want to start a picture thread for these 'rough' Buicks. Here are two of my favorites that i saw on this board a while back.
It was a ragged out Michigan car the guy cut up to build a 61 Impala convt (out of a 4 dr!!!!). I bought it for the great running nailhead in it.
I love pictures like these. I call them calendar cars. Most of them you can't move so you take a picture of them for a calendar or "scrap" book. Here are a couple I stumbled across. PS Who figured out how to spell calendar anyhow. I always have trouble with that word..........
Hey Brian; I know where that photo was taken of the Skylark with the Heinz ketchup logo in the background. I'll have to see if it's still there next time I'm in the area.
Beaver is about 30 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. Today I drove by the site where the photo was taken, the Skylark is gone. About 2 years ago the city did a crack down on old and abandon vehicles and this may have found it's way to the crusher. Even the Heinz logo is gone.
Oh that sucks. The cursher part. 30 minutes is awesome since i love the STEELERS!!!!! Its hard to find steelers stuff down here, nothin but dolphins and gators. :TU:
I have some neat pics on our site provided by myself and other members of Buicks in the rough...... http://www.buickperformance.com/buicksrough.htm
The rotting away factor kills me, ex. those GSXs. But neat pictures none the less. Hope i come across one of these Buicks in the rough. As a matter of fact, any 70s car in the rough that i can fix up :Brow:
Here's some pics a buddy of mine took this summer. It's a '65 GS convertible that's been sitting in a treeline for nearly 30 years. I have no idea what years we ran these plates, but probably before I was born.
Here is a few pictures of one I am saving. If you look on georges website you will see it setting in the field where I found it.
