I wasn't really sure where to post this. Any moderators feel free to move to a different location if desired.

I received an invitation from Olds Club President and BCA member as below.
The Oldsmobile Club of America will be hosting its 2012 National Meet in Des Moines, Iowa from 4 July to 7 July. The event will take place in the Iowa Events Center - which will be our first indoor national meet. We are expecting between 400 and 500 cars for the show along with the requisite swap meet, activities, and events.

While there may not be much interest in the show (Buicks are not invited), we want to let you know that we will be hosting a race at Eddyville Raceway Park in Eddyville, Iowa (and Buicks will be invited). This is a 1/8 mile drag strip located approximately 60 miles southeast of Des Moines. The track is sanctioned by NHRA and has some excellent support facilities. [The facility reminds me of Field of Dreams with a drag strip.] For more information about the track, you can go to the following link:
If anyone is interested in seeing the facility, there are a number of YouTube videos of the activities - the following link provides access to a number of videos:

We have reserved the track for Friday, 6 July and want to invite some Buicks to join us. We have a lot of 442s that are looking for Buicks (including but not limited to GSs, GSXs, and GNs) that would like to share in an evening of competition. I wanted to ask: "Are there any Buick racers that would like to join us in Iowa?"

OK Jerry was much more polite than me with my thread title, sorry Olds guys. For those that are interested you can PM and I will get you Jerry's email and phone, or check your BCA Roster (if you are a BCA member) for his info or visit their website http://www.oldsclub.org/
