Here are photos of a '57 Buick Century Caballero Riveria Eastate Wagon. This car was our restoration 101 subject finished in 1991. - Dan
JUST WOW.... Not ta say i don't like you guys wagons ... but the 57 just does it for me . If i had that one , i'd have to write my wife an " IOU ". here's mine ..
My girlfriend was looking over my shoulder and fell in love with the 2-tone wagon that Daves69 posted. She doesn't even like wagons
That fine '57 wagon is a real nice looking ride. But I still like the look of our '68 sporty. Going to be doing a little beach cruising this weekend and will throw a couple of surfboards in back to drive the inlanders crazy.
Love the wagons, when i lived in indianapolis i had a 72 buick sportwagon, when i moved back north in 2001 i had to sell it, man i miss that car. when i had it i always wanted to build a gsx wagon after the one i seen in B.O.P. magazine. I dont even think that magazine still around anymore
I remember seeing Jeff's herd before on photos... wasn't it on the http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/ ?
OK Jeff: Your picture of the wagons in the back yard is so important. It depicts five cars in various stages of condition. And WHY is this picture so important? 1. The cars are lined up neatly. 2. There is virtually no clutter shown. 3. The grass is very neatly manicured. 4. It appears to be in a private back yard in a suburban neighborhood. 5. It's appearance doesn't seem like it would pose a problem to anybody. Although some neighborhoods are more forgiving than others this picture shows that a hobby person can have cars at the house and it's not a big deal (actually, awesome to myself and the people reading this thread)! I didn't mean to hijack this thread, it just seems extremely important. Good luck with your cars, Mitch. (owner of 5 Buick wagons)
Thanks for the compliment, Mitch. I have always tried to keep the "storage yard" neat & tidy. That way the authorities (wife included) don't fuss. The first thing I do when moving into a house is to create an area to store my parts-cars & projects, out of view of the neighborhood. Over the years, I have had enough run-ins with the "Code Compliance" officers. ou: Glad you like it. :beers2:
