Hello and welcome to all antique car buyers. I have in my hands a rare 1970 buick riviera 455 big block 7.5L 2dr. I've did a little research on the model and year of this car. Only 36,500were ever sold, making this model and year rare. It's orignal paint was primed off for rust spots to be cleaned up, so it's a plain gray color right now. I believe it's orignal color was white. I've only had the car for a few months now. It only has 65,000 miles on it. I've put a little work into it since i had it. I brought a new carbuerator for it and installed it. Changed all belts, oil, and a much needed tune up.The spark plug and wires and distributor cap are from an 86 riviera for high energy performance so you know. It has a new steering fluid pressure hose, and head lights. The lights don't work though, wasn't able to find out why they didn't come on. Possible break in the line all other light's come on but those. But it has a new head light switch. the car wasn't running when i got it but i got it going in one week. The enegine is real strong and powerful with a positive tracktion. I drove it around the block a few times and it seemed ok to me.the front and back windshields are not installed on the car but i have both of them. small bits of rust spots is what kept me from getting them fixed. The car also have a brand new floor, new sheet metal for the floor and carpet. I will continue to finish the last of the work on the car unless sold before i can do so. Asking price is $15,000 or best offer...SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY PLEASE!!! for this rare car...ask for Ivory...708-699-2472

Maybe the most unloved year for the Rivs but when decked out as new they were striking cars. In that condition she wil be lucky to find a buyer at any price.

This thread reminded me of a guy with an '85 Riv which has that olds 307 in it. He put it in the local Buick show a couple years back and wound up having canniptions because they took off points for the Olds decal he has on his aircleaner. :spank: :Dou: Otherwise the car is nearly perfect.
