    I am looking to buy a 68 GS 400. Can someone help out with build codes. Trim170B Paint P2 Body 741 Other codes 12DO851.

    The car is silver with light gray interior. I have not seen a gray interior before. Is it going to be dificult to locate replacement parts for this color?

    I am looking at the 68 one owner car that was on Ebay recently. I would appreciate any input from anyone that looked at or knows this car.

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    170 shows up as green in my parts book. B shows as bench seat,
    but I can only find the green available on buckets.

    170 that year was also called platinum.

    Color = Tarpon green mist

    I suspect it has a black vinyl top?

    yes it does have a black top. The interior was redone with gray vinyl and cloth. Is Tarpon green mist a light gray or does it actually have a green tint to it. Also do you know what paint code is P2. The car is currently painted a medium silver.

    I appreciate any input

    Thanks

    I appreciate everyones help. I looked at the paint chip it looks like its gray or silver. I dont see any green. Is the interior color the same as platinum (year one catalog). Has anyone seen a car this color? Is it actually silver/gray. I do not want a greenish tinted car. The car was listed on Ebay as being painted the original color silver, and the interior is listed as silver. Is this accurate?

    Thanks for any help.

    Like I said above the Master books list the interior color as "green (platinum)". Even though the exterior is called a shade of green color the chip to the eye looks more of a silver to me. Check the auto interiors website linked to the Parts Directory at the top of the V8 first page.
