I'm sure if you posted the codes, someone could tell you what they mean. I don't recall any charts decoding the wheels.

  2. Tony, I'm not sure where you could find a comprehensive list of codes, but Adam is right, if you post the codes you have, we have some experts here that can tell you what you have.

By the way, you're not too far from me, and I'm in need of a 5th 15x7 Buick chrome rim, if you would happen to have an extra one??? :Brow:

    Hi Dave -
I may have found another complete set today. I was scrounging the local yard & found a new entry. It has a full set of 15"s on it, but I couldn't tell if they were 6" or 7". I found the car on my way out & was already running late so I didn't take the time to pull one off. I'll stop back over during the week & check 'em out.

Duane Heckman did an article for the BPG magazine on the wheels and codes. One of he great benefits of the BPG which is the foundation for this Board. If you have none so please join us.

    Tony,
I did 2 articles for the buildsheet, 1 for the 14" specialty wheels and 1 for the 15" wheels. They explained the Date codes, application codes, backspacing, and identification features for the various year wheels.
The 14" article listed everything for the chrome plated Buick wheels, 67-68 Chevrolet style "Buick" rallye wheels, and the painted 69-70 & 71-72 Super sport wheels.
The 15" article listed everything for the chrome plated Buick wheels, and the 15" steel wheels with the dog dishes & trim rings.
If you join the BPG you get their newsletter "The Buildsheet" and also electronic copies of past issues, you can then print out the articles and have all the info you would need. It's well worth the $35.00 a year to join.
I will get off my soapbox now.

Yep, 5x5 rims won't work on your Skylark, you need 4 3/4" bolt pattern rims. 5" pattern are full-size Buicks only.
