72 Skylark AM radio with nice knobs. Worked when removed 20 years ago. Stored inside since removal.$25 plus shipping. 73 Riviera AM-FM stereo. Don't know much about this radio except it looks ok and has nice knobs. The car I took it out of had junk speakers. The radio came on and the crackling in the speakers got louder as the volume was turned up. $20 plus shipping. Thanks, Clark
Do you still have this radio? Does it come with the Bezel? Was it from a Skylark? Thanks, Tim Douglas Boise, ID
Tim, I still have the radio. It doesn't have a bezel. It is from a 72 Skylark that I parted out in about 1985. It has been stored in my heated garage since then. Clark
Probably a stupid question, but anybody know if the 73 Riviera radio will fit the dash of the 69 Wildcat? If yes please put me in line.
The 73 Riv radio measures 5 7/8" from center of knob to center of knob. The 72 AM Skylark measures 6 1/4" . The Riv radio is 9" overall from front to back. The Skylark is 7 1/2". Both faces measure 2 1/2" high and 4 3/8" wide. Hope this helps. Clark
Time to pull off the cover and whip out the tape measure! Thanks for the measurements. Tired of the big hole in the dash!
Clark, Is the chrome on 72 Skylark AM radio is really good shape? Can you send pics of the AM radio to junitis@twmi.rr.com?
Do you still have the FM radio? The thought of trying to retrofit an ipod cassette adapter to a sacrificial 8-track housing was making my head hurt, and the FCC might be a bit annoyed if I tried to turn the FM transmitters into AM transmitters, to say nothing of my wife's annoyance. :idea2: If you've still got it, please PM with payment details and I can get $20 to you on Friday when I get paid. Thanks!
