today i've seen on ebay the buick quadra jet intake auction. does anyone recommend this intake above opening the L and R side of a standard 1X4BBL intake?
I modify the regular intakes so I can use holley carbs. Do the math ck out the area of opening on each to see the difference. yes, I know that holley makes spread bores, but I am saving money by using what I already have. Besides I am using the 1050 three bbl carb. I have posted several times on this manifold mod. It is well worth the effort and cost. How ever, There are other things that have to be changed; linkage,air cleaner, kick down switch, ect. As an experiment, I modified my 425 intake ONLY, no other changes, same carb, same air cleaner, ect. and it made a big difference in the power on accelleration. No difference in the gas milage at all unless I step down on it a bunch.
