I was just talking to John Csordas and he was told there are still a bunch of rooms at the McIntosh Inn for our annual Buick Performance Weekend. I would suggest that if you are going to this event,you call and reserve your hotel room this week.Otherwise, the room rates will go up and you probably won't be able to get our special group rate. The event consists as follows: There is a Buick,Oldsmobile,and Pontiac car show/drag racing on Saturday and on Sunday there is a full day of Buick drag racing. On Saturday,there is also a grudge racing pitting Detroit iron against the Buicks. This weekend always draws a good crowd and we have been running this event(along with Raceway Park) for the past 15 years.Please everyone,if you can,try to attend this event. Thanks!

I'd have to agree with Carl. This event usually draws some really fast NY cars as well as great looking show cars. It's also a chance to beat up on the other GM divisions and show them what Buicks are all about. I'll be there - in fact, it will be my 13th straight year!! I still can't believe Alan won't be making it, not even for an afternoon as he usually does while on his way to an upstate NY lake for the remainder of the weekend. See ya in NJ. Paul
WOW Paul....Good Memory - but then again it was the same routine for 8 or 9 years. This Year we're going up to my In-Laws house - still on a Lake, but upstate NY on Lake Champlaine instead of the Catskills....Leaving Thurs nite / fri morning Mebbe I'll pass you on your way down ??? Believe me, Bud......Im not happy about it. This Englishtown marks the 11th anniversary of not only getting my car but for my first pass ever down a track !! :ball: BTW.....we still need to talk !!!
I'll be gathering up the Massholes and you'll get to meet Dave who could'nt make Salem. However, he's one of the first Buick guys in our click and he just got "FATRED" painted. This is one sweet 70! It's got a BBB that he finished up last year and we're all hoping for an 11 second pass. Finally one of us with a fast car and a paint job too! Too bad it's so nice now; he'll surely miss the highway trash fights we have.
Well guys I think I'll be taking my GS again this year. It's not that I'm giving up on my GN-I love my GN,but I feel that it's taken me 8 years to put all my effort into a car I truly love and enjoy.Who can blame me? It's a sweet looking car and I figure why not show it off as much as I can. Looking forward to seeing you all.
