    Hi

I'm just curious on how much you guys like Buick in comparison to other brands. It seems like it's alot, but maybe not for everyone. Have you always had Buicks or you parents or dreamcar, since a long time or ??? My first car befaore I bought my Centurion was an Austrlian Ford Falcon from 78. I absolutely loved it, and almost cried when I had to sell it. I like my Centurion, but it wasn't that must have kind of feeling as it was with the Falcon. I guess I'm just getting ued to have an older car so fiddle with?

grew up with lots and lots of chevies and a few buicks ...
i prefer buick styling but i like chevy small block engines ..so i mix the 2 and create somethin i am comfortable with and makes me happy.

my last 74 lesabre vert had a 327 cu.in. with a 700R4 tranny. 20.7 MPG towing the boat to the lake with top down. :TU:

  4. first car was a 65 wildcat. then went to a fix and repare daily car and had to do just that. went and bought a 72 lasabre and drove three sets of tires off it and 180k miles on the car before it was too rudted to kepp going. then got a ford truck and still stick with the ford trucks but a 70 electra drop top was a summer driver and then back to the 65 wildcat drop top. my fun cars will always be buicks

At the wrecking yard yesterday, I confirmed my beliefs, that new cars are all more or less looking like soaps. All cars that they have at this "Memory Lane" place, are older, and when you look at things like interior design or body lines, it is just amazing to see how they used to build these things. I like the way new cars drive and function, but in comparison to how they look, there's no way I'd want one. These retro cars they're putting out like the PT Cruiser or the Chevy truck are all pretty bad fakes I think. It's like they did a very poor job on trying to replicate an older style, and then combining it with newer technology. And as it comes to working on them, I don't even know, since I've never dared to touch one. I think the car maker that retromakes an older model with exact styling of the interior and exterior, but maybe updated suspension and electronics, will make a killing. Like pulling out the blue prints for a car manufactured thirty years ago, and then the electronics from today. Who wouldn't want to buy a 72 Camaro with 04 technology in it. It wouldn't be the same as the old, but it would be a good option, for the people expecting new car reliability, comfort, and old car style. The people driving the originals, would probably start to cry, but I think it would be kind of interesting to see. I saw the new Mustang a few weeks ago. It came driving down the street with some test gear stuck on the outside. It just looked out of balance, the whole body looked like it had too much area in it, in comparison to its dimensions, and non body areas.

I also got pulled over for not indicating yesterday, I guess it's time to get back in there, and try to sort it out. When you take your license, one of the questions are on how to indicate using your arms. This is kind of what I've been doing lately, but don't they expect all cars to have working indicators today. I doesn't seem like a sane option to using the indicators if you have them. ??? We'll see how much this one is..... Bugger...

I'm a big fan of 1st and early 2nd gen Camaros. I'm more a fan of specific cars than companies.

Well, I grew up in a 2-Corvette household, and I drove a 79 Firebird through high school. I bought the GS to take to college (not knowing much about them), and a few years later my dad bought a GN.

    Now we're both hooked...

Owned almost everything GM made, including a Vega, over the past 40 years. That includes Camaros, Corvettes, Pontiac tri-power and the like. In fact, went from a Vette to my current Buick because a long time Buick loving friend wasn't around when the car became available and it was instant addiction! No more Vettes!
