ok, i've decided that information on buicks is far to hard to find unless you ask someone. so i'm starting a new website that will hopefully once i get enough information from everyone will have enough information to do the basic stuff people will need.. so i ask all of you. if you have vin decoding information, how to decode ANYTHING on these cars and i mean buick in general, it can be any year, any model, doesn't matter. there's going to be a section for every year and within that year will be a selection of cars i have information on.. my idea is this... for example, within the vin decoding section, i hope to have a break down of how many cars were made that were coupes, sedans, etc... for each year and so on. a description as well as pictures (if possible) of the plant they were made in... stories from people who have cars from these years ... anything valuable at all in other words. beyond that, i want engine decoding information for all engines and models and years.. anything valuble.. i know this stuff is on plenty of other websites, so if you have a specific website or thread on this board that you frequently visit to check information, please forward it my way so i can put it all in one place.. i'd also like pictures of concours cars each model and year if possible, if you have reviews of cars (i'd have to get permission to reprint them on the website but if i can get the article and contact information that would rock!) like i said, this is gonna be more than just GS's and Skylarks.. it'll be any and everything i can get my hands on.. from the cars way back when... to now.. if you have valuble information that you think others may want to have, please contact me and we can arrange something... this is going to be my big summer project and i'd like to get started asap.. i hope to at least have the vin decoding for all these cars done and completed so that can be done .. you'll simply type the vin in and it will return the information.. with links to plant history and pictures if i can get any... if anyone has other things they want on here.. i'm up for it i want this to be the biggest and best place to find information, you'll be able to simply email me any information that is wrong and i will correct it.. in fact i plan on having more than just me involved in maintaining this so don't be afraid that it'll be come stale... as long as information is sent in, i will find a way to put it up. good idea? bad idea? already done and i just don't know about it? suggestions, comments? whatever you got.. send it my way!

ya, i know theres a ton of informatin out here, its just a matter of finding it. the idea is simply to make it easier to find it. notice, anything someone sends me, i will credit you with the information you gave me. nice little "information was given by your name" or something similar.. if anyone can give me fresh #'s on stage 1 cars from the stage 1 registry or anything else like that.. i could put that up. the amount of information is seriously just astounding... the first things i'd like to start on is the VIN decoding, from there gather information on the plants, get the pictures.. then from there link that all up with the production numbers, with as much detail as possible. rare cars, i could use pictures of them, anyone who owns one of those cars can submit a story on it. i'll have specific car information on it related to owner and stuff too, similar to buick street but the information is more related to rarer cars, its just too hard to do everyone's and i don't wanna take away from buickstreet's purpose. then from having the vin decoding and production numbers, i think it would be wise to put together a nice engine reference, how to identify specific parts, including part numbers for them, and specifications on the parts, where to get replacements, maybe even known good combinations, like what the jim's post on here what they used, how much power they got.. that could be valuble to some who are looking for something specific... remember, this isn't just for 455's and such, so GN information, GNX information, riviera stuff, buick special, EVERYTHING including concept cars too... one off stuff... i'd like to do some nice drilling on the GNX and GSX prototypes of brad's.. i haven't found a lot of information on those.. so he's on my list of people to contact to hopefully get information from... i'm at school right now and i've been meaning to do this for awhile now and i'm finally feeling comfortable mentioning the idea and that i need your guys help to accomplish it.. i want the stuff to be accurate and resourceful.. if you have anything, just email me or private message me on here.. i'd gladly talk about this with anyone who wants information on what i'm going to do and how i'm going to do it..
