Ok, yesterday I deceided to get one of the calendars off of Danie. Half the time I don't even know what day it is but all the pics are of Buicks so sign me up. Today I'm in the local NAPA parts store and the guy asks me if I want a calendar. Looking at the car on the cover I was thinking "not really" but I take one anyway. I glanced through it quickly and saw just about what I expected from a Classic Collection 2005 Collector's Edition Calendar. A 56 Jaguar XK140, 56 Continental Mark II, 47 Chrysler Town and Country, 58 Chevorlet Impala.....see where I'm coming from here?

So I get home and thought I'd take one more look at the calendar before I throw it away and.....HELLO FEBRUARY!!!! A 1972 Buick Skylark Custom Conv!!!
Can you tell that I'm really bored to death with winter already?

    It's mine!

It a long story..but I'm the proud owner of 'Miss February' of the NAPA calendar.

The car is a '72, but the previous owner had the nose reworked..that's where the GS hood comes from and the '71 bumper. The rear is correct, as is most of the interior.

Stock 350, 2 bbl, original engine, even has the engine block heater still in it!

The blond is a local mother of children..the photog only uses wholesome looking models.

And boy, did I shine every bit of that car..including when we got it in position.

I thought it was good to show a Buick as a Classic!

You now need to go to your local GM dealer and pick up the GM Muscle Car calendar - you will find it has a very nice start to the new year. I picked up my NAPA calendar and after a conversation about Buicks and the 71 GS the NAPA owner once owned, he shwed me the GM calendar and directed me to the local GM dealer to pick one up.

I also noticed a lot of the NAPA cars are wearing Maine plates.

Stanley, Did we correspond about a Maine connection and your car a year or so ago?

    No and Yes

Reynoldo..no, the blonde didn't come near me! She did say that the car was very clean and nice to sit in..I guess she has worked with some 'doggy' interiors.

Kyle, yes, we did PM about a year ago on the Maine connection.

And yes, there are a number of cars in this calendar with Maine plates. The photog splits his time ( he's 80+ and going strong) between Maine and Florida..and he alone picks the cars to shoot for this calendar.
