Im in the process of looking for the correct color and quality as the 70 buick gsx apollo white paint, and/or 70 gsx saturn yellow, does anyone know what company sells this type of paint also how much would this paint be. also color codes and last when asking for this color what is the correct name for it, as well as the clear for it, is there any type of clear that will outlast and out perform the stock shine of the original. Im looking for somethng that is going to be very shiny but being a newbie at paint and all that i dont know what type of clear to choose from
It is just a question of mixing codes. There was no base coat, clear coat when these cars were made. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=64763&highlight=saturn+yellow+ppg+code Apollo white and the regular 10 code Glacier white for 70 are the same just known by different names. Also the black stripes were never shiney. The were a matte finish. So if you clear over these they will be durable but not like the original paint finish.
