Guys my neighbor from across the street gave me this cool tag to put on the front of my Buick GS. He was a employee at buick city until 1998 when they closed the plant . He then transfered down here and at this time has 28-30 years with Gm . I think he said he worked in the transmission shop the last ten years in buick city and said he remembers the cars like yesterday. Anyway the tag is a 75th anniversary of buick and that was in 1980, it also has the union local number. They handed these tags out to the employees that year. HE figured I would like to have and would make a cool addition to the front of the car. It was new and never even used on a car. I thanked him and we talked a while about how things worked at the old plant . He then stated it is nothing but a big parking lot which made him and me sad :ball: . Just thought I would share this cool experience.

That's a cool piece of Buick history. We drove our Skylark to Flint for the 100th aniversary BCA meet. This was in 2003. We met some of the oldtime Buick workers, and these people were really neat to talk to. The personal stories and info they offered were priceless. They weren't happy about the way G.M. abandoned Flint for the cheap seats. Flint was always synonymous with Buicks.
