I have this extra Buick shorty console from my interior swap project so I am selling it here. The Buick shorty console was used in both 4-speed Buicks and also column shift Buicks with bucket seats. First off, it is an original black shorty console - it has not been dyed or repainted and still has a very nice original black color - the base is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. The top has been recovered in black leather by someone prior to me buying it (no rips or anything wrong with the leather). It is a pretty good job and looks nice. You can see some of the leather wrap bunched up a bit from underneath where it is folded in but it is not that noticeable. The chrome front lip is in driver condition with fading and small pits. This was originally a type II shorty console (meaning it had a push button). If you look under the top lip you will see the slot where the button catch would have come through. It has been converted to a type I shorty console simply by recovering the top pad and adding the Buick tri-shield emblem (I believe the emblem has been rechromed as the original lip which was on this console (now removed) was also rechromed and the emblem is super bright and shiny). I do not have the push button lock or the bar that it would latch to. The top lid is heavy and is definitely not going to be moving around or opening up on its own. $150 shipped in the U.S. Also, I will be removing a really nice original black type I shorty console pad (including the emblem) from another shorty console I have since I bought the Parts Place repo top. The original pad is in great shape with only one small seperation in the middle of the pad - I've included two pics of the pad still on the other shorty console. I'll offer the top first to whoever buys the shorty console for $25 or if they don't want it with the console, I will sell the top pad and emblem by itself for $35 shipped.
