I recently purchased a no. matching Stage 1. I do not want to hurt the original engine, but I want to build a 455 that is quick. I would like a complete Buick 455 motor or at the very least, a 455 Buick block. I live in West Wyoming, PA and I do not want to travel very far to pick one up. I would consider shipping, but I do not even know how much that would cost. Can anybody help me out?

    3shields Let's go, MOUNTAINEERS!!!

    Brian,

How's it going with the new Stage ? Great looking car, hope you are getting to enjoy it. Try giving Tim Mishlan a call....740-732-5579. He is located outside of Cambridge Ohio, near the intersection of I77 and I70. I am sure he has several rebuildable/buildable buick engines.

    John,

I am really enjoying the car. I enjoy shifting through the gears the most. My father had one when he was younger and I think he was happier than I was when the car was delivered to my house. I really want to build a motor for it, but I do not want to damage the original, as I mentioned. Eventually I will put the Stage 1 back to stock and I will buy a Skylark or a rolling GS and I will do a frame off restoration on the Stage 1, but that won't be for a while. My father and I just enjoy driving it right now. I'm putting a new exhaust on it right now, I can't wait to get it done. My father and I were asked by 2 people if we'd sell it already and they were disappointed when we said no. One guy followed us out to dinner the one night, which was way out of his way to ask us if we'd sell it. The car gets alot of looks and I will never sell the car, unless something happens with my family and it is absolutely necessary. I just love the car, as I'm sure you love yours. Thanks for the help with finding another motor and keep in touch.

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

That will be the quickest way to find the weak point(s) in your 4 spd set-up. Better off leaving your car alone and building a Skylark to beat on.
