I have a power steering bracket that is supposed to eliminate the power steering pump. In good shape. Been in dry storage. For Buick 455.

    $25 plus shipping

Christian, i may be interested in this if it is still available. Could you please clarify "eliminate the power steering pump"? Do you mean smog pump? Also do you know what these came off of? I need the correct set for a 72 gs 455. Thanks!

Hi Shawn - I believe it came off of a 71 Buick fullsize with a 455 and non air injection. Therefore the pump was not attached with the power steering pump.

    I still have it.

Smog pump provisions are definitely not needed so thats a non-issue so as long as it works for a 72 a-body i'll take it. Please give me a total shipped to 45409 and let me know how you would like payment. Thanks!

If it's from a fullsize (which it appears to be) than it may not work on an A-body since it lowers the pump.

On the backside of one of the brackets it should have B-C-E stamped into it if it's from a fullsize.

So I took a look at the brackets. No A B or C on it. I did find two sets of numbers.

    350 231

    and

    1247873.

Don't know if that clarifies things.

The numbers look like they're the small block set, which means it's not from a fullsize. The 7 digit number will say for sure, but I don't have an interchange book or anything to know for sure.

That part number is for '78-'79 A/B/X body with the 231 and A/C but without smog. Just incase someone wants a numbers matching bracket.

Thanks for the info. I guess the guy that sold them to me was misinformed as I was told it was a full size set.
