Jim, depends on the 71, if they have the round water jackets in the block they will work, if the water jackets are oval shaped,no. They only used the round holes in the early build 71's.

Gary, thanks for the clarification! I only used them on 1970 blocks and assumed they would work on all. Never too old to learn!

 

Yes, but the cometic MLS gaskets will work on all blocks.
