    I don't think it is a 70's vehicle either.

68 Sport wagon. :TU: Heck if it were close to me, I'd go look and make him a reasonable offer. If its indeed a 400, it would be worth at least checking it out, IMHO.

Well, went and took a look at the Sportwagon. Has been sitting in weeds for 25 years. Lower portions of the fenders and quarters were rusted badly. Big dent on pawssenger side qtr. Big dent on the drivers side front door and fender seam right where they meet. Cracked windshield. Glass on roof was also all cracked. Looks like the engine bay and interior have been home to at least a hundred critters. I'm sure there were more issues, but I didn't look any further than that....

I'm not very knowledgeable on wagons or the availability of parts, but this one is more than I can handle I'm sure. Plus it is four miles up the mountain on a single lane dirt road, then about 200' down a pretty steep dirt path. They tried to pull it out with a 4x4 but couldn't budge it. You would probably need a CAT to pull it out.

Too bad...was probably in relatively decent shape when they drove it down there 25 years ago:spank:

....TOO BAD. EVEN Still, it might have disc brakes? Maybe a POSI? T400 shortshaft? And you say the glass is busted... but, ALL THE GLASS? Power accs? Column shift tilt maybe? 3rd row seating? Dash pad? AM/FM? SOMEONE on this board is looking for a sport wagon tailgate too!? Ya see, there are still a ton of good usable parts on that car....grab a friend, load your 4x4 and your trailer with a winch...drive up there, thro $250 IN CASH on the table and dont say a word...wait for his reaction. You know the drill; "He who speaks next, loses". If he balks at your offer, WALK AWAY. Ahhbut if he accepts... fyi: I watched ONE upper side PIECE of sport wagon glass sell on ebay sell for $258!!! And that 400 motor with all the goodies/carb/brackets/accessories is worth $300-350! The tranny another $100....you know winter is just around the corner and this would be a great winter project...remove the good parts and sell them over the cold months ahead.... I WOULD DO JUST THAT. but I understand you are not me. AND you dont want to be either! :bla: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
