Does any one the different between GS 350 motor vs skylark 350. I have a 72 buick 350 4bbl. I was told it has 175 hp while GS 350 has 195 hp ??? Thanks

I believe the biggest difference between your engine and the GS one is that yours was attached to a single exhaust pipe while the GS had dual exhaust.

exhuast would be the only difference.

Actually, i think the GS 350 engines produced more horsepower. I know some of the GS 350 engines produced 315 horsepower, but not all of them do.

I believe you're thinking about the 1970 GS 350. The difference in power is from much higher compression for leaded fuel and because, before '72 they measured horsepower without any accesories attached.

That 315 horsepower in 1970 would be about 240 by 1972 measurements (24% average reduction).

Hey, my car is 1966. Gets me too.
