I'm installing a Buick 350 in a 76 Skyhawk. I believe that there was a post on here a while ago, but I can't find it. I just bought a 77 V8 Monza parts car. The frame brackets are totally different and farther forward that the V6 brackets. IIRC, the 350 will work fine on the V6 mounts. Is this correct? If it is, I can sell the V8 mounts and brackets. There seems to be some interest in Monza parts, especially V8's.
I did a 350 Buick in a 77 Skyhawk years ago, if I remember correctly I used the V-6 mounts.. Not much else I remember about the swap, except it was easier to run the dual exhaust down one side and I think you can see why when you are under the car. I wish I would have kept that one. Bob H.
Yes use the v6 emgine mounts but drill a hole in them and bolt them together as they will likely rip apart.
I put a 350 into a 76 Skylark that had the oddfire v6 in it. I found that the stock rubber v6 mounts are to weak, the pass side would sit on the upper control arm through bolt, the header would bounce off it and sound like the motor was beating itself to death. Put the poly mounts in 6yrs ago and no issues at all.
